I am on my way to Tampa, FL as we speak! I wanted to share this quick card I made the other day. Torendi is a big fan of classic storybook characters. One of the retailers we purchase from, Decole, has a whole line dedicated to Red Riding Hood. I made this card by cutting the little house image from a Decole postcard!

Cardmaking Made Easy

Here’s a puny Valentine’s Day card I made! I’m a wannabe foodie so this card appeals to me. I used some American Crafts Abode elements, the Lawn Fawn Stamps alphabet set, and a little puffy heart! Who doesn’t LOVE a puffy heart?

This is page 2 of my layout! I drew inspiration from the Medical Elements of the Jillibean Soup papers. I made a scalloped border with the mini eye charts, a cool dot pattern with envelope ties (like the ones found on old medical files), and a staple border.

Good Morning Peeps!
My card is a recent PC reject. It was my favorite card I submitted. I drew inspiration from an Old Navy sweater of mine. The felt is from My Favorite Things.

How was your weekend? Mine was fun! I had family over to celebrate Liam’s Birthday (which is actually today)! After ruining his birthday cupcakes, we went to Applebees and the staff sang to him and brought each child their own ice cream sundae!
This weekend, my family bought the boys bikes. Liam was given this classic tricycle. He’ll probably outgrow it in a year, but it was love at first sight for him. He rides it everywhere, even around the house. He even hooks his bike up with his brother’s by using bungie cords. His most recent modification includes a little handheld radio that he stores in the compartment in the back with the rest of his “treasures”.
It was, indeed, a great weekend!
At lunch on Friday, my husband was feverishly looking for paper (cardstock) and tape (ATG gun). You might be wondering, “for what?”. Well, I asked him that very same question and he answered, “I want to make you a chinese star!”
I laughed and laughed. What, are we in middle school? LOL! But, he was serious! He wanted to make me the ultimate birthday card, which meant including a chinese star.

This is the inside! “You’re on point” is such an Army saying! It cracked me up to see the Bam Pop stamps and chinese star paired with this quote!

Shabby isn’t my thing, but making this banner brought me so much joy!

I dyed my own bias tape (couldn’t find seam binding) with glimmer mist using Ashley’s tutorial that will be available after CHA!
I painted over the pieces with Distress Paint and then distressed the heart with distress ink!
