Favorite Stamping Tips…

THIS thread on Spiltcoast Stampers dot com has SOME AWESOME TIPS!

Here are some of my faves:

  1. Use a Swiffer cloth to clean up glitter/Embossing powder!
  2. Heat Emboss from underneath the cardstock to avoid fly away.
  3. Do not have your fan on when using dazzling diamonds loose glitter ;)
  4. Use a brayer on large background stamps for even ink coverage.
  5. If you use a tape runner to glue things down and mess up (who hasn’t), take your heat gun to it for a little and it should loosen it up! No more rips and re-dos!
  6. If you watercolor (any medium) spray your cardstock with Krylon Matte spray first! It will makes any ink waterproof and does a great job of priming your surface for watercoloring (no pilling or curling)
  7. You can refill your versamark pads with glycerin ($2 a bottle at drug stores) and use it in your aqua pen to make the water for stable.
  8. Use clear detail embossing powder to emboss dye ink.
  9. Go to Office Max before a workshop and have them cut a ream of cardstock in half for you for $1! Imagine all the extra time you’ll have!
  10. Use Drywall Tape instead of Magic Mesh.
  11. Score your cardstock first and THEN cut! Saves some time!

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS???? I’ll add the list if you do!
