July/August 2010 – Healing Through Our Craft
Card makers love to give of themselves through this connective hobby of ours. We make cards for others because we know that it will brighten their day or lighten their load in some way. We also make and give cards to others and because of the way it makes us feel: warm and joyful. There’s no doubt that sharing this kind of creativity can have healing powers: both for those to whom we give, and for ourselves in the act of giving. In this feature, we’d like to honor the occasions for which we give cards that really do help others heal: thinking of you, sympathy, miss you, encouragement, and get well.
