Quick & Easy Valentines

Quick & Easy Valentines

So, my boys have their Pre-K Valentine’s Parties today. If you follow me on twitter or facebook, you know that I was going to buy the “cool” character Valentines. But, then I opted to go with my original plan in making them :) Besides, this is one of the last years I can get away with it ;)

One & Three: Dum Dum Flowers (tissue paper, rotary cutter, cutting mat, dum dums, green florist tape)

  1. Layer 4 sheets of tissue paper. Cut into 6×6 squares.
  2. Fold each stack of squares 4 times (like you’re going to make a snowflake) and trim excess to create a flower shape.
  3. Stick dum dum through the tissue paper layers.
  4. Twist a little of the paper around the area where the wrapper meets the stick.
  5. Adhere green florist tape starting at the top.

Two: Fruit Snack Packets (Spellbinders Labels 9 Nestabilties, Die Cutting Machine, Waltzingmouse Stamps, Perfect Match Ink, Scor-pal, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher)

  1. Stamp image and sentiment on die.
  2. Fold in half. Score.
  3. Wrap around top of fruit snack packet.
  4. Staple.

With the help of a friend, I’m not able to upload video onto my computer from my JVC HDD :) I will be posting a video tutorial soon! EEEeeeeeek!
