Lovely Butterfly

HAPPY SATURDAY FOLKS!!! Today is our big Mardi Gras Celebration here at Fort Irwin! I’ve worked diligently in preparing for the Silent Auction

Here is a card featuring the Hero Arts Lace Background Stamp! Godelieve (stampingmathilda) has created some knock-out projects with this stamp! I happen to be a HUGE fan of vellum, so when I saw this turquoise/teal vellum from The Paper Temptress, I HAD TO HAVE IT! Then she had the matching cardstock and I was sold

For the heat embossing, I used Versamark ink and CTMH Silver Embossing Powder. I matted the heat embossed vellum with an equally sized cardstock die and sewed around the perimeter.

For the ruffled ribbon around the butterfly, I took my rotary fabric cutter, and trimmed the sides of the ribbon so that it would have a frayed look, then I just ruffled it around the butterfly, adhering the ribbon onto the cardstock backing. To finish it off, I cut of all the stray pieces of ribbon and adhered it with some foam tape.

My friend, Ava, asked if I could make her a flat card…lol! I told her I’d make her some postcards! These were really quick and easy to make! I used CTMH So Lucky Stamp Set and the Polka Dots are from PTI’s Polka Dot II Backgrounds.

Pears hello

Hi there! Today, I decided to bring you all a very Clean and Graphic card. I used two pear stamps from Schlosser’s Designs Stamps, Furnishing Fun, to crate my own background paper. I went with a graphic consistent design, but you could surely random stamp and use generational stamping if you’re creating your own! I stamped a whole sheet of white cardstock, so that I can have some for other projects or matching cards.

Here’s a Thinking of You card that I made with some American Crafts, Dear Lizzy schtuff!

I wanted to try something new, something I’ve seen a thousand times on scrapbook pages, where the artist tears the paper and folds it back to reveal a different paper or journaling.

This card is a melting pot of different products! The background was created simply by stamping a Schlosser Designs Hexagon-a-thon stamp repeatedly to create a honey comb!

This card is based off of the sketch challenge submission call that Paper Crafts just had. This was one of two of their sketches. I really like how my card turned out, but it’s another reject! LOL! This card totally reminds me of life as an Army wife in a Cavalry unit. All the men wear their stetsons to events and earn their spurs! The ladies even have an opportunity to earn their spurs, which involves some physical tests and other fun training.

Here’s a CAS/Fun and Cute sympathy card that I made for a submission call. It’s a reject, but I love it’s simplicity! CHA is in 2 days! I have to wash the car, vacuum the car, clean out the inside, go grocery shopping, and get my nails done! Eeeeeek! The life of a domestic goddess….LOL!
