Using Bampop's Bonjour Bot!!!

Jenn posted a little bio about me on the Torendi Blog yesterday and I thought I should let everyone know here what I’m doing for Torendi!

First off, the grand opening is 9/9/09 and guess what my lucky number is…9! Crazy!

Jenn has asked me to be her Design Team Coordinator/Advertising/Promotions person! I get to do all the “right side of the brain” work, while she deals with all the “left side of the brain” work! I have been stalking people’s blogs searching for some Torendi Setters Next month, the famous Maren Benedict will step in as our Torendi Setter!!! Maren works closely with Paper Crafts Magazine as their go-to girl, has designed for Unity Stamp Co from the beginning, and currently works with Lizzie Anne Designs. I’m so excited to see what she does with Torendi product!

So, if you like new, trendy, funky, different, check out the Torendi blog and find out how to contact me regarding a Torendi Setter Spot!

This application is EASY PEASY! There’s no sending in work, creating specific items or even using specific stamps! You just fill out the application and leave links to the galleries that you post to! Her company has some REALLY CUTE STAMPS and she also has Vinyl Wall Art and Digital Kits! Talk about diversifying!

Here are some pointers to take note of:

• Your blog is your business card. I took this to heart! It’s one of the reasons why I moved over to wordpress I wanted something professional, personal and streamlined. I had Tanis G. design a header for me, to make the blog a little bit more ME!
• Quality of photography. I’ve changed how I take photos 4 different times. First, I started out taking photos on my front porch rocker and was told that the lighting was too dark and didn’t showcase my creations. Then, I moved indoors and bought a project board to use as a white backdrop. I found that when I went to edit the photos, that the colors were off a bit. So, I moved outdoors with my project board. This was disastrous for me! I could only take pictures at a certain time of day and when you’re a mom of 2, you don’t have that kind of time! Lastly, I moved to my laundry room using a neutral backdrop to attain greater color values and although the colors were more true, the photos just didn’t POP. SOOOO….here I am back indoors with the white backdrop SOON I WILL MAKE A WHITE BOX.
• “Designers, Design”. Plain and simple! There are design opportunities in everything you do.

I did not make it into the Cosmo Cricket DT… With big hitters like Hilary K. and Heidi S. and Davinie F.-GEEZ! I will definitely hone my skills and keep trying out year after year Now, I’m off to work on getting published!
