Lovely Butterfly

HAPPY SATURDAY FOLKS!!! Today is our big Mardi Gras Celebration here at Fort Irwin! I’ve worked diligently in preparing for the Silent Auction

Here is a card featuring the Hero Arts Lace Background Stamp! Godelieve (stampingmathilda) has created some knock-out projects with this stamp! I happen to be a HUGE fan of vellum, so when I saw this turquoise/teal vellum from The Paper Temptress, I HAD TO HAVE IT! Then she had the matching cardstock and I was sold

For the heat embossing, I used Versamark ink and CTMH Silver Embossing Powder. I matted the heat embossed vellum with an equally sized cardstock die and sewed around the perimeter.

For the ruffled ribbon around the butterfly, I took my rotary fabric cutter, and trimmed the sides of the ribbon so that it would have a frayed look, then I just ruffled it around the butterfly, adhering the ribbon onto the cardstock backing. To finish it off, I cut of all the stray pieces of ribbon and adhered it with some foam tape.

Shabby Chic Friends

It’s been forever and a day since I made a shabby chic card! LOL! These are my stamping roots, edge distressing, ink distressing, glitter, and flowers! I thought I’d give it a whirl for old time’s sake All the paper goodies are Jenni Bowlin! They were kind enough to send me the best promo pack to use with my projects.

"b" card

This card is a melting pot of different products! The background was created simply by stamping a Schlosser Designs Hexagon-a-thon stamp repeatedly to create a honey comb!

Modern Wedding

As I planned my own wedding 5 years ago, I was drawn to the bright and cheery Wedding Schemes. I especially loved all the modern and graphic decor! Here’s in my attempt at recreating that Modern feel. I love the idea that the tag and butterfly can be saved as a “save-the-date” keepsake!

The Jenni Bowlin Booth was Jaw-droppingly Gorgeous! The ladies there were SUPER sweet and fashionable too! The Jenni Bowlin ladies had earrings made from the new stick pins and sweaters adorned with the new buttons and button creations on their clothes! It was awesome! I love seeing different ways to incorporate product and they totally rocked it!

OH, and FYI, Jenni Bowlin is the only manufacturer that I found at CHA that has all her newest product in stores by the time they’re at CHA! Everyone else doesn’t start shipping until after CHA and around March!
