How has your weekend been so far? Today, I have a very frivilous project to share with you! It’s not every day that I create a cupcake stand simply to create one! And, it’s not every day that I make Red Velvet cupcakes for the sake of a photo shoot (Please excuse the aluminum foil wrapper- I always forget something). Anyways, here’s something fun you can do with your CupCards To Go kits!
Materials needed: Free Cupcake Stand Template, printer, scrap cardstock, 2 sheets of coordinating patterned paper, toothpick/candy stick, scrap piece of the white card base, Adhesive, Hot Glue Gun, Sticker Sentiment, Scissors, pencil for tracing, CupCards To Go April Kit {Spring’s Awakening}
Step 1: Cut out the template and trace onto desired patterned paper.
Step 2: Cut out each traced drawing using scissors and/or dies, piece together the stand at the cut portions, and adhere the circles one on top of the other.
Step 3: Add a bit of hot glue at the top of the stand and join the two pieces of each shape together.
Step 4: To make paper cupcake flag, cut out a portion of a scrap piece of card base, adhere the sentiment, then adhere around the stick.
Thanks for stopping by!
Upcycled Packaging
Good Morning folks!
Last year, American Crafts challenge their members of their Design Team and fans to reuse their packaging in a fun and unique way! I was intrigued! I love the idea of repurposing and upcycling products that would otherwise be thrown away. So, I took a chipboard accent package from American Crafts and transformed it using various Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products, some fun stamps, and cool stickers!
Here’s how I did it:
1. Take various Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens with brush tips and color a gradient pattern directly onto a large background stamp. Stamp on trimmed piece of white cardstock that will fit inside the packaging and stamp the 2nd generation on the backside.
2. Ink additional stamps with the Faber-Castell Stamper’s Big Brush Marker in black and stamp over the background gradient image.
3. Add a fun butterfly trail (if you so choose) with a Faber-Castell PITT artist pen in black (fine-tipped).
4. Did you know Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Markers stamp beautifully on vellum? Ink up your butterfly image with the Stamper’s Big Brush Marker in black and stamp onto some vellum! Weeeeeeee
5. Did you know that the Art Grip Aquarelle Pencils color beautifully on vellum as well!!!? Go ahead, try it and then use a fine-tipped wet paintbrush to blend the color! WOO-HOO!
6. Add some fun stickers to the plastic packaging!
7. Now add your candies are whatever you feel like adding and adhere your butterfly on top!
Would you like to see a video with more fun Art Grip Aquarelle Pencil Techniques???! I just might have 1 or 2 in store

Holiday Cracker (that jingles)
Hello! It’s Tiffany with another fun papercrafting tutorial! This time we’re going to be making a Holiday Cracker. I had a friend from England when I was younger and she introduced this fun tradition to our family. This cracker may not “pop”, but it “jingles all the way”!
TreatsLine up the 3 toilet paper rolls on the 12” x 6” piece of Hambly patterned paper and add scor-tape to the center of one side. Tightly wrap the paper around the rolls, securing the scor-tape.
Create a pocket between two of the toilet paper rolls to use as a guide for the ribbon. Remove the end roll and tie the ribbon around one end, adding a bell to the bow. Trim ribbon ends.
Fill with treats, inserting through the open end. Tie ribbon and bow around the end to close Holiday Cracker.
To create the band around the cracker you will need the strip of kraft paper, scor-tape, doily, V2 Vellum Adhesive spray, rhinestones, and stickers.
At this time, add scor-tape to the ends so that the cracker sits upright.
Apply V2 Vellum Adhesive Spray to the doily ensuring full and even coverage.
Adhere doily to center of strip kraft paper, add sticker, and rhinestones.
Add scor-tape to back of prepared band.Wrap around Holiday Cracker.
Voila! You have a Holiday Cracker. It may not “pop” like the traditional crackers, but it sure does jingle!
If you’re interested in making them “pop” like traditional crackers, you can purchase the snaps HERE!
Burlap Wall Decor
Materials: sage green burlap, Pink Paislee Adornment (Old School Collection), felted heart (mine is from Amy Tangerine’s class), antique white acrylic paint, paint/foam brush, embroidery floss & needle, fabric glue/metal glue (tombow), vinyl (Pazzles vinyl), electric cutting machine (Pazzles Inspiration Cutter), scissors.
Step 1:
On your computer, using the software for your electric cutting machine, arrange desired letters. In my case, I used Gaps & Helvetica fonts of various sizes.
Step 2:
Arrange vinyl on cutting mat and cut project.
Step 3:
Apply vinyl negative to burlap removing all bubbles. Working on a covered work surface, apply paint. Allow to dry.
Step 4:
While the paint dries, stitch an “x” onto your heart and adhere with glue dots.
Step 5:
Once completely dry, carefully remove the vinyl negative.
Step 6:
Place burlap into embroidery hoop, cutting excess fabric, and adhere the Pink Paislee frame with glue dots. If there is a lot of excess fabric, secure with hot glue on the back flush with the hoop.
Today, I will teach you how to make this awesome overlay pumpkin for your Thanksgiving tablescape!
Materials: 12×12 Hambly Overlay, scrap piece of patterned paper, Hambly Woodgrain Alphabet clear stickers, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Curio Knobs, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Crop-a-dial, seam binding, washi tapes, mini clothespins or binder clips, ruler, paper cutter, flameless tealight candle, brad, adhesive
Step 1: Cut 7, 1” x 12” strips of Hambly Overlay, create stack, and punch hole through the center and sides, using mini clothespins of binder clips to secure stack.
Step 2: Insert brad into center hole. Arrange the strips in a circle and apply adhesive to the ends. Decorate the tealight with various washi tapes.
Step 3: Place tealight on top of the brad adhering with a glue dot. Starting with the 1st strip on the top, bring the ends together. Continue with each strip thereafter.
Step 4: When all but one strip has been secured, take the thumbscrew and insert from the inside of the pumpkin ensuring that the male end of the screw is exposed at the top. You may need to punch another hole before you’re able to complete this step.
Step 5: Add the last two ends and screw on the knob.
Note: This is how it should look after you’ve screwed on the knob!
Step 6: To create the knob treatment or “the stem” on the pumpkin, take a shoebox or plastic bin, trimmed seam binding, and glimmer mist.
Step 7: Spray seam binding several times.
Step 8: Ball up the seam binding, absorbing the rest of the glimmer mist at the same time, and allow to dry.
Step 9: To create the monogram tag, gather the scrap paper, Woodgrain Alphabet clear stickers, washi tape, and scissors.
Step 10: Cut tag from scrap paper, apply strip of washi tape, and punch hole at the top.
Step 11: Now you can add a monogram sticker to the corner.
Step 12: Take the dyed seam binding, tie a bow around the knob, and thread the tag through one of the ribbon ends. Trim excess.
Before your guests arrive, you can easily manipulate the overlay strips to turn on the tealight before adding it to your tablescape!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial!

Ribbon Pleating Tutorial
Apply adhesive strip to cardstock, ensure it covers end to end.
Starting from one side, stick ribbon and fold over to make a pleat.
Close-up
For 2nd pleat, fold over so that the pleat touches the end of the one before it.
Your finished product should look like this!
View from above
Trim the tail, leaving some excess.
Turn to backside of cardstock, apply adhesive strips and fold tabs over.
FINISHED! Add brads, buttons, staples, sewing, or ruffle it up!
TIPS & TRICKS:
If you mess up, just pull ribbon away from the adhesive and start over. No harm; No foul!
